Teen girl injured in Interstate 4 crash identified – Daytona Beach News

A teen girl injured in a vehicle crash on Interstate 4 near Orange City over the weekend remains in critical condition, a Florida Highway Patrol official said Monday afternoon.

Brandy Howard, 17, of Tangerine, is hospitalized at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, said FHP’s Sgt. Kim Montes.

Howard was injured Sunday at 5:05 p.m. when the vehicle she was traveling in as a passenger was struck by another vehicle, troopers said.

According to troopers, Kaley Terry, 19, of Winter Park, was going west on I-4 when another vehicle driven by Jean-Claude Baker, 20, of Orange City, who was also westbound, changed lanes and hit the right side of Terry’s car.

Terry’s car overturned after Baker struck it, troopers said.

Baker did not suffer any injuries but Terry was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach with minor injuries, Montes said.
