The Ohio State Highway Patrol said two lanes of eastbound Interstate 70 are closed between Interstate 675 and Route 4 after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash early Tuesday morning.
Medics and police are on the scene of a fatal crash between a semi tractor-trailer and a motorcycle. It happened at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Only the far left lane is open.
Police said that a the two vehicles collided, and the motorcycle rider was killed. The victim has not been identified.
Two brothers shared duties driving the semi, and they told News Center 7’s Mike Campbell that they were heading for the International plant in Springfield when the accident happened. One of the brothers said that the motorcycle hit the semi from behind.
Police are still investigating, and have not confirmed the driver’s story.
