A 59-year-old woman is in the hospital with serious injuries after being ejected from her motorcycle on Interstate 5 near Southwest Portland.
The crash occurred at about 4:15 p.m. Friday in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Southwest Macadam Avenue. The accident caused the lanes to be closed for about three hours.
Police said the rider was traveling north on a 2002 Honda Shadow when the rear wheel locked up and she was thrown onto the roadway.
The woman was taken to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center and her identity has not yet been released. Police said she is listed in critical condition.
