“Blossom” actress Mayim Bialik was rushed to Cedar Sinai Hospital midday Wednesday, after a car crash left her with a badly injured left hand.
She was driving her white Volvo at the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and La Brea when the collision occurred. Bialik was on her way to a family lunch for her youngest son’s birthday, a source told the Daily News.
The other vehicle was occupied with visitors from Chile who were neither cited nor detained, reports People.
TMZ reported that the damage was so severe that at first it seemed that Bialik, 36, might lose a finger. The gossip site reported that Bialik’s “finger was almost completely severed … it was just hanging there.”
However, Bialik is not at risk of losing a finger. While the hand will not be fully functional for a while, she will be fine, said the source, and at present doctors are just making sure her finger isn’t broken.
She dictated a tweet to her husband assuring her twitter followers that she will keep all of her fingers.
(husband typing) In pain but will keep all my fingers. If u wanna See pre accident me watch The Soup tonight lol

Bialik will return to work tomorrow, according to Deadline Hollywood.
Before the crash, Bialik had just finished a table reading for “The Big Bang Theory.”
