BOYNTON BEACH, Fl — It happened in the NB lanes just north of Woolbright Road, shutting down the interstate for hours.
The very latest update from FHP is that a third victim has died in Friday’s big crash. As far as drivers commuting home, the accident was cleared and traffic was moving again through the area.
The triple deadly accident happened just after 10am in the NB lanes of I-95. FHP’s investigation revealed 2 pickup trucks belonging to a roofing company from Deerfield Beach were on the side of the highway.. One broken down.. one there to help. Investigators say a woman in a black Mercedes then slammed into the back of one of the trucks.
The five people in the two trucks were badly hurt and three were killed. The woman driving the car wasn’t badly hurt.
She was rushed to Bethesda Hospital in Boynton Beach.
Charges are pending and no word on why that woman didn’t see the two giant pick up trucks in front of her before the crash.Three dead in Friday I95 accident
