The driver of a vehicle disabled by a crash only minutes earlier was killed after being struck head-on by another vehicle Saturday morning in Lake County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Arlie Lavon Powers, 44, of Paisley was ejected from his 2002 Mazda and died at the scene.
Powers’ vehicle rendered inoperable and was facing eastbound in the westbound lane of County Road 42 just west of State Road 44 in Eustis when another vehicle driven by William Rodak, 37, of Paisley entered the curve, troopers said.
