NAPLES, Fla. – The driver of a FDLE vehicle engaged in Governor Scott’s detail crashed into a car while trying to back across a street Saturday evening

34-year-old Rebecca Petrulis of Fort Myers was backing across 6th Avenue South in a Chevy Tahoe into a vacant parking space.  The Florida Highway Patrol says she failed to notice a Jaguar driven by 78-year-old William Morrisey traveling east on 6th Avenue South.

The Tahoe clipped the left side of Morrisey’s car, resulting in minor damage to both vehicles.  No one was injured in the crash.

Petrulis was cited for improper backing.  No one else was in the vehicle with her.
