Fall River man dead, 4 injured in Town of York crash

UPDATED: Monday, March 23, 2014 — 11:09 a.m.

The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office has released the name of the man killed in a two vehicle traffic crash yesterday evening. He is identified as Michael Dykstra of Fall River. The Medical Examiner says the autopsy shows Dykstra died as a direct result of injuries from the crash.

The case is still being investigated by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office and the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.

One person is dead and four others injured after a two vehicle crash in the Town of York.

It happened at 7:30 P.M. Saturday night on STH 73 and CTH TT.

According to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, a sedan was traveling northbound on CTH TT and failed to stop at a stop sign. A southbound minivan on STH 73 was then hit by the sedan.

The 47-year-old male driver of the sedan was flown to UW Hospital with serious injuries. His 51-year-old male passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and two passengers of the minivan were transported to UW Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor. The crash remains under investigation.
