Crash Shuts Down Interstate 70 For An Hour

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. - An accident shut down Interstate 70 eastbound for about an hour Sunday afternoon and snarled traffic for miles.

Dispatchers with Washington County Fire and Rescue say it happened around 3:30 p.m. at mile marker 37, between the Boonsboro and Myersville exits.

I-70 eastbound reopened shortly before 4:30 p.m. Dispatchers say two vehicles were involved in this crash and aren’t sure on the extent of the injuries.
