Clowns and jugglers brought the fun of the circus to a fun day.
Glen Parva Summer Gala, at the War Memorial Hall in Dorothy Avenue, featured games and rides, drumming sessions and circus skills workshops.
Other highlights of the event on Saturday included ferret racing and an inflatable obstacle course.
The gala is organised each summer by Glen Parva Parish Council.
Clerk Jo Small said: “The summer gala is a successful annual event and it was a really good day on Saturday and everyone had a good time.
“It was the first time we had invited a circus to come and they were doing all sorts of things – plate spinning, juggling and other traditional things.
“They went down very well.
“We also had karts and races and the event was very well supported by the community.”
